Job Title: Emerging Markets Tax Senior

Location: Fully Remote

Salary: $100 - $130k

Requirements: 3+ years public accounting experience.

Experience working with emerging markets is a must (Cannabis)

CPA (or CPA Eligible) is required

Key Responsibilities

Manage and prepare federal and state tax returns for corporations, S-Corps, and pass-through entities.
Conduct tax research and analysis on various tax issues, including 280E implications for cannabis-related businesses.
Assist clients in tax planning and strategy development to optimize their tax position.
Review and supervise the preparation of tax returns prepared by junior staff.
Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff on tax compliance and accounting principles.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, particularly in emerging markets and multi-state operations.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably in a public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of multi-state tax regulations and compliance issues.
Experience with cannabis tax issues, particularly 280E, is a plus.
Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
