We are a small full service CPA firm in business for over 80yrs. We're looking for Tax Director level candidates who are wanting a quick path to partner.

What You Will Be Doing

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Responsible for strategy and growth of the firm's tax services, including identifying market trends, anticipating opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies/plans
Build strong relationships and interact regularly with clients, internal client partners and up-and-coming talent, external industry groups, Centers of Influence, industry Market Leaders in adjacent sectors, and Service Line Leaders - coordinating to align skills with market trends and drive strategic technical leadership hires

Client Experience:

Serve and build relationships with clients, monitoring client service and value proposition, acting as trusted advisor to ensure we are a premium provider providing quality work, open communication, sound advice, and proactive service
Develop a comprehensive approach to meet the needs of clients, including leadership around compliance with a focus on scaling the practice and demonstrating intellectual curiosity to ensure client needs are met
Adjust client pricing, strategy, and services as necessary

Leadership, Mentorship & Staff Development:

Respect and celebrate the value of each of the stories, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas of each of our team members, building meaningful relationships with all those you interact with
Be growth oriented and work towards building a leveraged model, when appropriate
Provide mentoring and motivation to the team, including developing young leaders via active contribution to training and development
Exhibit forward thinking, innovation, and delivering an exceptional work product

Technical:

Perform Senior Manager or Managing Director level tax advisory, compliance review and tax return signoff
Serve as a go-to resource for technical questions or knowledge
Act as a technical and/or business leader both internally and externally

What You Need for this Position

12+ years in public accounting with an emphasis in taxation
Ideally, already in a director level role. Senior Managers are encouraged to apply!
Experienced with both individual and business tax
CPA license
M.S. in Taxation is preferred
