Position Purpose:
As the Asphalt and Grading General Superintendent, I oversee and direct field crews to ensure paving, asphalt repair, and grading projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with contract specifications and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Lead by example with Sunland's Core Values and a strong commitment to safety.
Supervise Foremen and Assistant Superintendents; oversee field operations.
Ensure projects are on time, on budget, and meet quality standards.
Promote a safe work environment, identifying and addressing job-site hazards.
Coordinate with leadership to plan and manage production schedules.
Oversee pre-construction meetings and ensure resource efficiency.
Continuously improve processes to boost quality, productivity, and profitability.
Certifications Required
A current driver's license. A CDL license is preferred and may even be required for some departments/divisions.
Must have a clean motor-vehicle record.
Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
This position is considered a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the company's drug and alcohol policy, as well as all OHSA regulations.
All employees must wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
