Senior Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for various construction projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that estimates are competitive. The Senior Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process and will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project feasibility and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
Review project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for accurate estimates.
Analyze past project data to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency for future projects.
Participate in the bidding process and present estimates to clients and stakeholders.
Monitor and update estimates as project designs evolve and changes occur.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to maintain competitive estimates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for construction projects, with a focus on heavy civil construction preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficient in estimating software and tools, bonus for experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and InSite Takeoff software.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
