Position Overview
The Senior Plumbing Project Manager will oversee all aspects of plumbing projects within the commercial sector, ensuring successful execution from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, particularly in high-stakes environments such as medical centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with all plumbing codes and standards.
- Develop project plans, including scheduling and resource allocation, to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project progress and implement necessary changes to keep projects on track.
- Manage change orders and close-out procedures efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Prepare and present project forecasts and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Plumbing, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing project management, preferably in commercial settings.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing major projects, particularly within medical center environments is a plus.
- Excellent scheduling and forecasting skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle change orders and close-out procedures effectively.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
