Salary: $30-35/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for various projects in the oil and gas, chemical process, and HVAC industries. The Piping Designer will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs meet project specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and design piping systems using 3D modeling software.
Create and interpret P&ID diagrams to ensure proper system functionality.
Produce detailed CAD drawings and isometric drawings for construction and fabrication.
Conduct stress analysis to ensure the integrity and safety of piping systems.
Ensure compliance with ASME standards and relevant design codes.
Select appropriate materials for piping systems based on project requirements.
Plan and execute pipe routing to optimize system performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with project management teams to meet project deadlines and budgets.
Participate in the preparation of construction documents and engineering drawings.
Provide support during construction phases to troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues.

Qualifications

3+ years of piping design experience
Proven experience as a Piping Designer in the oil and gas or chemical processing industries.
Strong knowledge of CAD software and 3D modeling tools - CADworx, AutoCAD Plant
Familiarity with P&ID and isometric drawings.
Experience with stress analysis and materials selection for piping systems.
Understanding of ASME standards and design codes applicable to piping systems.
Excellent project management skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Completion of community college coursework or drafting/CAD classes is a plus
