We are one of the biggest personal injury legal offices in New York, our firm focuses exclusively on construction accidents, premises liability cases, and sexual assault and sexual abuse lawsuits. Our owner is leading the campaign against human sexual trafficking under laws created to empower survivors against the institutions and offenders who have wronged them.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to join our law firm. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings, ensuring that legal documents are accurate and timely filed. This role is critical in supporting our legal team and enhancing our ability to serve clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence
Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and evidence
Maintain and manage case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as necessary
Utilize Smart Advocate case management software to track case progress and deadlines

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or related field preferred
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH SMART ADVOCATE CASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Certification from a recognized Paralegal program is preferred
Experience working in a law office setting, particularly in personal injury cases is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in legal research tools and case management software, especially Smart Advocate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
