We are looking to connect with candidates for a key Financial Executive role, a Director of Finance for our CA Central Valley based team in a role where you will serve as a key leader within the finance department, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management, and will be the executive leader of FP&A teams and effort for our Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability. Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial forecasting.
  • Private Equity Transactions: Oversee and manage private equity transactions, including due diligence, negotiations, and ideally experience with pre/post-acquisition integration.
  • FP&A Leadership: Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Project Management: Manage financial aspects of key projects, including capital investments, cost-saving initiatives, and efficiency improvements.
  • Operational Finance: Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to optimize cost structures, improve working capital, and enhance profitability.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial health and operational effectiveness.

 

Additional specific FP&A experience/requirements include:

  • Financial Planning & Budgeting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, Overseeing the development of long-term financial forecasts, Prepare and maintain financial models to support business scenarios, investment strategies, and decision-making.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes, Assist in quarter and annual audits, Maintain compliance with GAAP specific to inventory costing and valuation, lead in the development of performance metrics and KPIs for monitoring financial health, and actively Communicate financial results and trends to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven experience with Private Equity backed companies and transactions.
  • Strong background in FP&A, including team leadership and project management.
  • Experience in CPG, Food, Manufacturing, or Agribusiness industries.
  • Experience in financial leadership of a company with diverse business units
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of supply chain finance and inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
