Title: Control Systems Manager
Reporting to the Controls Director
Location: Sun City, San Tan Valley, or Scottsdale AZ (Hybrid)
Description:
The successful candidate will maintain the overall strategic direction, performance and efficiency of the control systems, data communications systems and reporting systems to ensure secure and reliable operations at our water and wastewater facilities.
Key Accountabilities
Effectively manage staff that provide day-to-day support for operations personnel to ensure that process control systems continue to meet operational requirements efficiently and reliably.
Develop and implement programmatic maintenance activities on process control equipment or systems.
Assist the Instrumentation & Controls Senior Manager with planning, managing, and delivering the capital project budget for SCADA. Work with team members on capital project submittals. Identify potential roadblocks to project execution and proactively mitigate these where possible.
Support the design review and implementation of process control system projects across various treatment plants and water & wastewater districts. Oversee design work by others and provide additional comments and feedback as required. Travel to work sites to review work quality and assist in implementation efforts on site as needed.
Lead implementation and roll out of SCADA reporting system across U.S. business.
Lead and manage the work of Instrumentation & Controls Engineers, and Supervisors including software development and system troubleshooting. Champion standardized approaches and industry best practices in process control systems and serve as a resource for their implementation. Coach team members with appropriate feedback on projects and workstyles, and identify development opportunities such as industry conferences and training courses.

Education and certificates: Requires a 4-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Must have valid driver's license with good driving record.
Skills and Knowledge: Requires understanding of programmable Logic controller configuration for Allen-Bradley PLC's as well as understanding of human machine interface (HMI) configuration with Aveva. Knowledge of WIMS software and database. Requires knowledge of business applications, Microsoft Office products and productivity tools (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Requires strong management skills.
Experience:
6+ years of Progressively responsible experience in SCADA systems or OT Cyber Security Systems focused on design, programming and implementation that includes 2 years of experience Managing teams working on complex technical applications (regulated-industry experience is preferred).
Work Environment: Office environment with field exposure.\
Occasional but minimal; travel to facilities outside of Phoenix
