Insurance Coverage Associate
Base Salary - $180,000 - $200,000
Position Overview
The Insurance Coverage Associate will play a pivotal role in providing legal support and analysis on insurance coverage matters. This position involves evaluating coverage issues, assessing claims, and advising clients on various insurance-related legal matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct coverage analysis to determine the applicability of insurance policies to specific claims.
- Assist in claims handling by providing legal guidance and supporting documentation.
- Engage in litigation support, including trial preparation and strategy development.
- Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients regarding insurance disputes.
- Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents related to insurance coverage matters.
- Ensure compliance with insurance laws and regulations through thorough analysis and review of policies.
- Provide client counseling and advice on risk management and coverage options.
- Review contracts to assess insurance implications and exposures.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the state bar association.
- Strong understanding of insurance law and coverage analysis.
- Experience in claims handling and litigation support.
- Excellent negotiation and legal writing skills.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the insurance industry.
- Strong client counseling skills and ability to manage client relationships.
