Insurance Coverage Associate

Base Salary - $180,000 - $200,000

Position Overview
The Insurance Coverage Associate will play a pivotal role in providing legal support and analysis on insurance coverage matters. This position involves evaluating coverage issues, assessing claims, and advising clients on various insurance-related legal matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct coverage analysis to determine the applicability of insurance policies to specific claims.
  • Assist in claims handling by providing legal guidance and supporting documentation.
  • Engage in litigation support, including trial preparation and strategy development.
  • Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients regarding insurance disputes.
  • Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and other legal documents related to insurance coverage matters.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance laws and regulations through thorough analysis and review of policies.
  • Provide client counseling and advice on risk management and coverage options.
  • Review contracts to assess insurance implications and exposures.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the state bar association.
  • Strong understanding of insurance law and coverage analysis.
  • Experience in claims handling and litigation support.
  • Excellent negotiation and legal writing skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the insurance industry.
  • Strong client counseling skills and ability to manage client relationships.
