We are looking for an experienced Asphalt Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. We are a top excavation and paving company with operations in Virginia and Maryland. Operating one of our many heavy equipment models, including milling machines, rollers, and pavers, is part of this job for asphalt paving jobs. Both state-funded and commercial projects will depend heavily on the chosen applicant.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team. This position is responsible for operating various heavy machinery to aid in the construction and maintenance of asphalt surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety and quality work.

Key Responsibilities

Operate paving machine, shuttle buggy/transfer machine, milling machine, asphalt roller, asphalt screed or sensor operator
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Assist with the preparation and repair of asphalt surfaces, including grading and leveling.
Collaborate with other construction team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Experience in operating heavy equipment (pavers, rollers, milling machines, etc.) used in asphalt paving projects.
Valid operator's license and certification for heavy machinery, such as cranes, loaders, or excavators.
Strong knowledge of construction processes and heavy equipment operation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Excellent physical stamina and hand-eye coordination.
